The masterplan proposes to significantly increase the amount of parking available on the existing Northampton Road car-park, helping ease existing town centre parking issues. Next to the Mill Stream an office building will be created. The Northampton Road will be improved, creating a better environment for the public and an easy crossing point to the Moat Lane scheme. Opposite the car-park theree will be some residential development.
The Moat Lane Masterplan is being updated and a revised application for the development will be submitted in Autumn 2012.
